How to Kill the Tyrant in Resident Evil Code Veronica X

The Tyrant: a large, mutated hunk of ugly muscle who serves as enforcer for the infamous Umbrella Corporation. In Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Claire will enjoy a few encounters with this freak, with the ultimate showdown taking place on an airplane. Claire will need a lot of nerve and plenty of ammo to get through this boss battle.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• Grenade launcher
• Cache of grenade launcher ammo (fire rounds, acid rounds, etc.)
• Backup weapon (bow gun with explosive arrows, handgun, etc.)
• Herb mixture or can of first aid spray (optional, but very helpful)

1. Save your game before Claire heads into the fuselage of the airplane. Now is also a good time to make sure that Claire is in good health and that her weapon of choice is locked and loaded.
2. Take note of the control panel by the door in the fuselage. Push the panel as soon as the Tyrant is in view to attack him with a launching crate. The control panel will be out of commission afterward until the beeper sounds, so listen out for that warning.
3. Track the Tyrant's movements. When he starts to rear back to slash with his giant claw, run past him on his claw-hand side to sidestep the attack. The claw attacks inflict the most damage, so they are the most important to avoid. Find a safe attacking position once the claw has been avoided.
4. Pump the Tyrant full of grenade rounds until he begins losing strength. At his weakest point, he will begin limping and leaking large amounts of blood. This will be the moment to finish him off.
5. Approach the control panel once more to launch another crate at the Tyrant.
6. Continue the barrage of grenade rounds, if the Tyrant has enough strength to stop the launched crate.
7. Launch another crate at the Tyrant when he is fully sapped. The crate will push the Tyrant out of the airplane when he is totally weak. That will be the end of the Tyrant and the beginning of a horrific ordeal in Antarctica.
