How to Kill Someone Quicker in Halo 2

When playing Halo 2, you want the death toll to rise quickly with little or no fuss. It's so annoying having to shoot your opponents seven or eight times before you actually kill them. Thankfully, there are a few things that you can do to kill someone quicker in Halo 2, and increase your chances of winning. Follow these steps to kick butt more efficiently.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Do a double whammy. For this quick kill, you need a plasma pistol and a battle rifle. Shoot your opponent first with the plasma pistol, and then aim for his head with the battle rifle immediately afterwards. Since the plasma charge takes a bit longer to reach the target, you should be able to hit him twice simultaneously, killing him faster.

  2. Step 2

Always have enough ammunition. When playing Halo 2, you quickly learn that running out of ammo is death sentence. So always have a full barrel, and try to catch your opponent on empty. If you can do that, the other guy is as good as dead.

  3. Step 3

Go for a Melee. The Melee, or B button, is an easy way to rack up points with little or no effort on your part. This quick shortcut can take away your opponent's shield, or even assassinate a person with just one hit. The auto-aim is a nice feature to have in a pinch.

  4. Step 4

Aim for the head. A head shot kills faster than a shot to the abdomen, so always aim high.

  5. Step 5

Pick your weapons carefully. Some weapons are just more effective than others. If you want to kill your opponent in one or two hits, try the sword lunge, sniper or even a rocket. Assassinations are also effective, and grenades do it every time.
