All videos viewed on Apple's iPod, iTouch and iPhone products must be in m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats. Standard videos do not come in these formats and so any video source file that you want to watch must be first converted. Any videos downloaded from Apple's store will already be in the correct format and will not require conversion.

Step1

Review online videos and locate the video that you want to download. Be sure to check the file source to ensure that it is a legitimate video source. Download the video to your computer.

Go to the Videora website. Browse to the Videora iPod Converter Tool. This free, online tool allows you to convert multiple types of video files into files that can be played on your iPod.

Step3

Check the operating system it is designed for and the space required to ensure compatibility with your computer system.

Step4

Download and install the Videora program to your computer. Read all the installation and user guides and follow all the instructions carefully. If you have any problems, go to the Help section, where there is a good set of Troubleshooting Guides for your review.

Use the video converter software to indicate where the original video file is, indicate where you want the converted file to be saved and the exact format. Be sure to change the screen dimensions to the specification for the iPod device that you have.

Run the program. Once the new file is created, add the file to your iPod software and sync the device to add the video to your iPod.
