How to Draw a Stool
You like drawing but aren't sure if you can sketch something that looks like the real thing. If you are a beginner, you should start with something simple like a stool. A stool combines lines and ovals. Use these tips to draw a stool that looks like the real thing.

Decide where you want the stool to be placed. Remember you will want the legs to touch the ground. Draw an oval shape near the middle of the page. This will be the seat of your stool.

Use a ruler to draw a straight line down the left of the stool starting underneath the oval seat on the left side. Make the leg go down diagonally to the left until it touches the bottom of the page or the floor of your diagram.

Start back at the oval shape. Draw another line down from the seat about half an inch from the first line. Continue the line down to the bottom of the page drawing diagonally to the right so that you have an upside down v shape.

Go back to the top of lines. Draw two more lines downward dividing the triangle into two equal legs. Curve the bottoms of the legs to make the feet of the stool.

Begin back at the oval shape. Draw a straight line down the right of the stool starting underneath the oval seat on the right side.

Make the leg go down diagonally to the right until it touches the bottom of the page or the floor of your diagram.

Divide the triangle into two equal legs. Curve the bottoms of the legs to make the feet of the stool.
