Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Familiarize yourself with the entire line of MAC cosmetics. It is widely known that Christina has a particular affinity for this brand of makeup. Be prepared to loosen up the purse strings, as MAC products are more on the high end and can be expensive.

  2. Step 2

Look for a foundation that provides total coverage and accurate color. Those familiar with her makeup will know that liberal application will not be discouraged.

  3. Step 3

Use a pressed powder formulated to stand up against the elements. It should hold up well under bright lights, sunlight, and heat. Use a simple napkin to blot before retouching.

  4. Step 4

Look for black mascaras that provide maximum thickening to the eyelashes. The idea is to create as dramatic an effect as possible.

  5. Step 5

Be daring when choosing eye-shadow colors. Think colorful and bold, and try to steer away from anything that might be considered subtle or safe. Incorporate at least two different colors into the equation, making sure to shade and blend.

  6. Step 6

Use a bold eyeliner on both the upper and lower lids. A bit of blending creates a smoky, smoldering look. Just be careful not to over blend, which will create nothing more than raccoon eyes.

  7. Step 7

Find a red lip color that flatters your skin tone. Christina was all about the bold red lips during the Hollywood starlet phase. However, not all reds will work for all people, so be sure to experiment until you find the red that's right for you.

  8. Step 8

Use matte shades or subtle glosses to capture the look of lips in fleshtone. Hints of gold or bronze can add a bit of sparkle to keep the lips from looking dull.

Tips & Warnings
  • If high-end cosmetics do not fit into your budget, do a bit of research to find a reasonable alternative.
  • Remember that when copying Christina's looks, you can never really go too far. Study photographs from various stages of her career for a point of reference.
