How to Get Josh Hartnett's Style

With beautiful celebrity exes like Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz, Josh Hartnett is one of Hollywood's hottest leading men. Generally casual and always cool, Hartnett marches to his own fashion beat. His laid back style perfectly complements the actor's rugged good looks. To get Josh Hartnett's style, you must be willing to think outside the box.

1. Get the preppy look of Hartnett's "Lucky Number Slevin" character, Slevin Kelevra. Pair dark flat front trousers with a crisp white button down shirt and an argyle sweater vest. If you're having school uniform flashbacks, relax. This look is cool; at least Lucy Liu's character, Lindsey, thought so.

2. Skip the classic suit and tie. Hartnett looked comfortable at the 2008 Independent Spirit Awards, sporting black skinny jeans, a white button down, black pullover sweater and black tie. He topped his monochromatic look off with a black wool pea coat and black canvas lace-up tennies.

3. Keep it comfortable. Paparazzi often catch Hartnett in dark wash jeans, oversized tee-shirts and sweaters and canvas shoes. Josh layers to add style to his look, often topping off an outfit with an unzipped hoodie or an unbuttoned plaid flannel shirt.

4. Add a pop of color. A departure from his usual black, Hartnett donned jeans and a casual, camel colored corduroy shirt over a bright red tee shirt to MTV's TRL.
