How to Keep Your Hair From Drying Out

  1. Step 1

Skip a few days between shampoos. If your starts to look greasy or flat, cover your head with a stylish scarf.

  2. Step 2

Use a weekly moisturizing masque or apply olive oil through your hair. Concentrate more of the masque or oil on the ends of your strands. Cover your head with a shower cap and let it sit for 20 minutes. Wash your hair as usual. Wash twice if your hair still feels greasy.

  3. Step 3

To keep your hair from drying out, wash every other day. Use a shower cap to keep your hair from getting wet while washing up in the shower or bath.

  4. Step 4

Limit blow drying to twice a week, if possible. Dry your hair gently with a towel or braid your hair so that when it dries, you have nice curls without having to use chemical products or a curling iron.
