Many women throw their bras into the washing machine with the rest of the laundry, without giving it much thought. However, washing your unmentionables in this vigorous way can wear them out sooner and may even damage delicate fabrics, resulting in tearing, or bent underwires. There is a better way to clean your bra.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Gentle laundry detergent or baby shampoo
  • Warm water
  • Basin
  • Clothesline or rack or towel

Step1
Add several drops of gentle laundry detergent or baby shampoo to a basin of warm water.
Step2
Place your bra into the basin. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Step3
Gently move the bra around in the water with your hands for a minute or so.
Step4
Rinse your bra in cool water. Hang on a clothesline or lay your bra down on a towel to dry.
