Cupboards can get a greasy appearance on the outside from every day cooking. Moisture, food particles and debris can stick to the surface, making it appear dirty. The inside of cupboards can also get dirty and can even become oily, especially where you have your stored oils, such as olive and canola oils. It is simple and easy to clean and degrease a cupboard--just follow the tips below.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Make a mixture of warm water and a lot of baking soda. Place it in a bucket. (You do not need to fill the bucket the whole way; otherwise, you would dilute the mixture too much. You need a good amount of baking soda.)

  2. Step 2

Using a cloth or sponge and the mixture, apply to the outside and inside of the cupboards to clean.

  3. Step 3

Rinse out the bucket and fill it again with fresh, clean, warm water.

  4. Step 4

Go over the cupboards again to "rinse" them, using the new water.

  5. Step 5

Thoroughly dry the cupboards with a dry, clean cloth.
