As the spring and summer months approach us pesky little creatures come out. One of the most popular are ANTS! The one insect that we all dislike. The one that keeps on coming back. The one that we find on our counter tops, on walls, and the occasional one crawling across the carpet in search of the next sugar grain. I have found a way to defeat them, and at a low cost! Lets get rid of them before its too late! Shall we?

Nutrasweet sugar

Step1

First you need to address that you have an ant problem. They will be crawling on your counter tops. You try to spray them away with cleaner, and that works ... temporarily. What else can you do? My mother and I had discovered this simple little trick after years of getting ants in the summer and spring time. NUTRASWEET SUGAR. Odd huh? How would sugar ward off ants? There is something in the Nutrasweet that they simply dislike. They bring it back to the nest, and it kills off the rest. If you want to get the Nutrasweet for free, just start grabbing a couple of packets when you dine out. They are always sitting on the table.
This is also a lot safer than pesticides!

Step2

Get some Nutrasweet sugar. You can find it for very cheap at a dollar store, and even at your local grocery store. If you want to stock up, check out Sams Club, or Costco. You wont need much, a good 10 packets works. You can also use the off brand type, it works the same.

Step3

Sprinkle this sugar in areas that people are not going to see. A good place is behind the microwave, behind the stove, by the refrigerator, in corners of windows, and under the sink. You can even put a little bit under the stove. Another great place is outdoors. For the outdoor use, you may want to purchase a little bit more. Just go around your house and start sprinkling it at the base of your home. Ants tend to dwell underneath the home.

Step4

If you really want to get creative you can make a solution. You will need a spray bottle and some more of the Nutrasweet. Fill your bottle with water and then add about 10 packets of sugar. You can use a spray and use that in more areas like the carpet!
