How to Copy and Paste on Your Computer

Need to know how to copy an area and paste it into another area on your computer. Follow these easy steps and you will be able to do just that! It's THAT easy!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Compter
  • Mouse
  • A working keyboard!
  • An area to copy
Step1
Find the area you want to copy and then while holding down your left mouse button, highlight the area you want to copy (let go of the mouse button when you finish highlighting).
Step2
Push ctrl + C at the same time on your keyboard or push the right side mouse button and click on "copy".
Step3
Put your mouse cursor in the area you want to paste what you have copied and push ctrl + V on your keyboard or push the right mouse button and click on "paste". You should see what you copied in that area.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure you push the keyboard buttons at the same time or it will not work.
  • If it is an unauthorized area you will not be able to paste your text or photo into that area.
