      Write each word on a piece of paper with the English words and Russian pronunciation.---

      Look at these words through out the day, and say them to yourself or someone else as much as possible.---Good Bye - Das-vye-dawn-eeye
      ---See you later - oo-veedyem-sya

      With the words make your self a quiz. You can do this with flash cards or by folding a paper in half. Flashcards are nice because you can shuffle the order, and combine them with other words you are learning. ---Good - Harah-show

  • Word association is key. Drawing a picture or hearing specific sounds in a word can be very helpful in memorization. For example Potato in Russian sounds like 'car' 'toe' and 'fell' With those three words that are each familiar to you make up a picture in your mind of a car that's brown like a potato, in the shape of a toe, and has fallen off a cliff. Chances are you will remember the word for potato for along time.
