Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
- A friend (isnt it a lot easier to lose weight with a friend than with yourself?)
- MOTIVATION
- A PLAN (I will give you a little bit of advice, but I can't do it all!)
- WATER (a key ingredient to weight loss)
- GOALS (do you want to lose 5 pounds or 10)
Step1
First you need to find a friend who is willing and able to take part in this with you. It is proven that we do things better with encouragement and when there is a challenge involved. You need to motivate one another and be there look out for each other. Make sure that your friend isn't letting you get off track and vice versa. If you can turn it into a competition, you both can win.
Step2
You need a easy work out plan. Something that is actually going to work. When you get finished with the torture and stress of your day, and finish your daily family oriented duties, give that friend of yours a ring on the telephone. Meet at a park and go for a run. Sign up for the kick boxing class at the gym. Use the advantage of "bring a guest" at your local gym that you signed up for, but never go to. Come on fill that water bottle...get moving!!!
Step3
DISCUSS GOALS. Healthy goals. Start small. Eliminate carbonated beverages from your diet and replace the 10 cokes you drink a day with bottles of water. Stop buying soda completely. Increase the amount of fruit that you eat a week. When you go on your grocery trip, don't buy all of the tempting snack foods that we all love, replace those sweet treats with some nice juicy fruits. Watermelon or fatty chocolate chip cookies in a package made from god knows what?
DETOX your kitchen. Go through your cupboards, get rid of stuff that isn't appealing to you. You just bought it to fill space and its just been sitting there. Get rid of those 4 boxes of noodles and replace it with some whole grain rice.
START EATING HEALTHY!
Step4
WATER-WATER-WATER! CALORIE FREE! You really need to start drinking water. Many of us neglect it. Water helps to detoxify your body. Just think of it as this, the more you urinate the more fat you are losing. Water is what most of your body is made up of. During weight loss your body has a lot of stuff to get rid of. Water helps the body metabolize fat. Water also helps with constipation, so when you drink more water, your bowel starts to function properly.
Water also makes you feel full. So if you eat a low calorie meal, drink some water with it, you wont have the urge to binge.
Add a lemon for some flavor!
