1. The first thing that you want to approach the other woman. She will not be able to provide you with any resolve. Approaching her will only exacerbate the situation. Your focus must remain on your husband. DO NOT APPROACH THE OTHER WOMAN! It's a waste of time!
2. Sit down with your husband and talk to him about your concerns. Give him the opportunity to express his feelings without any interruptions. Take notes if necessary so that you can address the items he focused on as well as your own concerns.
3. You must listen carefully and do not allow your emotions to overwhelm the opportunity for reconciliation if that is your true goal. Men that have affairs do so because of the lack of something. It may be that the wife is not aware of the need and he has found it outside of the marriage. HE IS WRONG FOR DOING SO. This places you at risk health wise and it is destructive to the relationship.
4. Once he has had his chance to speak. Let him know that if he is willing to commit to being faithful for now on, he must give you time to forgive and reconcile the situation.
5. If you and your husband want to make the marriage work, I suggest visiting your pastor or professional marriage counselor. Recovery from an affair can be very devastating and you do not need to try to handle the entire recovery alone.
6. If you are a Christian, you will really need to pull on your faith, prayer, and the bible for strength. Your love for your husband will have to literally cover his ,multitude of sins. In addition, meditate and ask God to reveal what you need to do to enhance the marriage. The main repair that must take place between you and your husband is the mode of communication.
