How to Broil Salmon
Broiling salmon is a fast and easy way to cook this delicious and healthy fish.
Salmon is low in calories while providing excellent nutritional value in things like Omega 3 fatty acids, selenium, protein, niacin and B12. Salmon is a mild fish and many people who declare to 'hate fish' love salmon.

Prepare herbs. There are many delicious herbs that go with salmon. Some good fresh ones to try are thyme, rosemary, dill or parsley. You can also use small amount of dried herbs to taste if you don't have access to fresh.

If you are using butter, mix 2-3 tablespoons of butter with the herbs. Spread the butter mixture on the fillet. If you are using oil, lay out foil and scatter herbs. Rub the oil and herbs into the fish.

Preheat the broiler. Line a baking sheet with foil or use the foil from your herb and oil mixture.

Place salmon on the foil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Broil fish about 4-5 inches from the heat for approximately 10 minutes per inch of thickness. Thinner steaks take between 5-7 minutes. When salmon is golden brown on top, remove and eat!

Tips & Warnings
Don't overcook. Salmon should flake easily but not be dry.
