Broiled salmon

Broiling salmon is super easy, there are just a few steps and the spices you like and you're done.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Salmon steak
  • Tin Foil
  • Cookie sheet or broil pan
  • 1.5 tablespoons of Olive Oil per salmon steak
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh or bottled lemon juice per salmon steak
  • Sea Salt and Fresh Ground Pepper to taste (you can use regular table salt and pepper as well)
  • Basting brush
  • other seasonings at your discretion
  1. Step 1

The general rule of thumb for salmon steaks is to always keep the salmon at least 4 inches from the heat at all times and to cook it 10 minutes per each inch of thickness of the steak. If your salmon steak is 3 inches thick at the largest point, it needs to cook for 30 minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Preheat broiler for 10 minutes.

  3. Step 3

Place tin foil onto cookie sheet.

  4. Step 4

Place salmon steaks on tin foil covered cookie sheet.

  5. Step 5

Mix all ingredients in a small bowl until well blended.

  6. Step 6

Lightly brush mixture onto BOTH sides salmon steaks. This insures that the salmon won't stick to the tin foil.

  7. Step 7

Once oven is pre heated, place salmon steaks in oven.

  8. Step 8

Figure your cooking time per step 1. Salmon should be flaky when done.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consuming raw foods, especially seafood, can make you violently ill. Make sure your food is cooked thoroughly before eating.
