After purchasing your beautiful salmon filets, the first thing you will want to do is heat up your grill. If using a charcoal grill, do not use too much charcoal, as you want medium to medium-high heat. With a gas grill, set to medium, or a hair above. Clean your grill well and while it is heating up, you can prepare the salmon.
Step2
Your next step is to prepare the salmon. To do this, lightly sprinkle salt and pepper to taste on the non-skin side of the filet. I like to leave the skin on to cook as it helps to hold in some of the moisture. Then squeeze the fresh lemon on the filet. Finally, lightly brush olive oil over both sides of the fish. You should now be ready to start cooking!
Step3
Place on the grill with the skin side up. If you have your grill at the right temperature, it should take somewhere between 5-8 minutes to cook. Gently lift the filet and if it is beginning to turn light brown, you should be ready to flip the filet to where the skin is now on the grill. Cook on this side for about 3-5 more minutes. The consistency of the fish should be moist, and a little flaky all the way through.
Step4
Finally, serve and enjoy! And also, do not be too shy with experimenting with different sauces or spices. Your possibilities are endless. This is just an easy way to make a wonderful meal. I love broiled salmon, especially with a side of steamed vegetables and a baked potato.

I'm the only one who eats salmon in my family, but the next time we fire up the grill, I'm throwing on a salmon steak! Great recipe. 5*****
