Things You'll Need:
- Exam Outline
- Exam Manual(better if it does not require the text book)
- Old exams and Sample Questions
- And most Important:Buying new Practice exams!!
-
Step 1
Download the outline and read it carefully. Try to find someone who took the course before or can go to Actuarialoutpost and search about what are most important topics, chapters.
Questions that might help you? Best manuals, Hard chapters, which chapter cover highest share of exam Questions.... -
Step 2
Take one week to read the whole Manual or the text book. No need to do any calculation just go through material and grasp as much as you can just by reading[believe me it's fun to deal with concepts first before dealing with Calculations]. This will give you a good feeling about what the exam is all about.
-
Step 3
Now Study the Manual with help of the text. Remember Chapter's examples are for teaching your concepts so study them with their answers.
Do not try to solve them as You will later put big effort in solving Previous EXAMS problems.
In doing end of chapters problems, keep in mind you are concentrating in improving your new skills more then trying to solve them perfectly .
In this stage your target is to understand and improve your skills that covered in chapter. -
Step 4
Now this is the time to sharpen you skills and test your understanding
By solving many Previous exams and sample Questions which provided by Society. -
Step 5
Last Step is Buy good practice exams and do them as real test!
As they cover most added material and they are most probably similar to last exam sitting.
By solving this your guaranteed to solve repeated exam questions with high confidence. -
Step 6
Congratulation: exam result = 6 --> :)
