Things You'll Need:
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 cups of cooked rice (regular or minute)
- Large head of cabbage
- 2 Chicken livers (optional)
- 1 large onion
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- salt 1/2 tsp
- groung black pepper 1/2 tsp
- Cumin 1/4 tsp
- dried basil 1/2 tsp
- white vineger
- 1 can tomato soup
- Large pot to boil water
- Large bowl for ice bath
- 9 x 13 baking pan

Step 1
Cook rice and allow to cool for 30 minutes. While waiting, Chop onion and put to the side. Measure all of your ingredients to have them ready for the next step. Prep your cabbage by peeling the leaves 1 at a time and put to the side.

Step 2
In a large frying pan, cook chicken livers in a touch of oil. Cook thoroughly. Once they are done, chop them up very finely then mash into a paste. In the same pan, add the livers back and add beef to the pan. Add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cumin, chopped onions and basil. Cook until the beef is browned. Allow this mixture to cool for 30 minutes.

While waiting for everything to cool, in a large pot add water 3/4 of the way, a pinch of salt and a cap of white vineger. Bring to a slow boil and add the cabbage leaves 3 -4 at a time and cook for 1 minute. Take them out and put them into a bowl of ice water to cool immediately. This will help to preserve the bright green color. put to the side for now.

Step 4
When rice and meat mixture have cooled. Mix them together in a large bowl. Mix well. Take cabbage leaves from ice bath and pat dry. Fill each cabbage leave with mixture not to over fill. Put mixture at one end and roll once and fold the sides in. Continue to roll until to the end of the leaf. Continue process until meat and rice mixture is gone. You may have to use several of the smaller leaves to achieve the desired size.

Step 5
Place each stuffed roll into the 9 x 13 baking pan and cover the rolls with the tomato soup. Place in to a pre heated 350 degree oven and bake for 40-45 minutes. Take out of the oven and let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy withyr favorite side dishes..
