Here is an article that will explain how to hang, adjust or upgrade sliding closet doors

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 doors,track for doors,cordless drill,screw drever bits,level,small ladder,
  1. Step 1

Measure the opening of the door way. Door kits come in 3 sizes 48,60,72
You may also put them together if need be for a larger opening.

  2. Step 2

Here is an example when picking out the doors. On a 48 inch opening it is best to purchase one 24 inch door and one 30 inch door( this helps to keep the doors on the lower track )

  3. Step 3

Install the track for the doors, Try to center it in the middle You may need to cut the track Usually not but some older hoses had smaller door ways

  4. Step 4

Install the rollers on the doors. Pay attention to the shape of them One is for the front and one for the back
the one that is straight is the rear door

  5. Step 5

Once you have hung the doors you can adjust them to make them level. Most rollers have a com that turns which brings the door up or down. Use either the door jam as a guide or a level. Sometimes a level door wont close tight due to a jam that is crooked so adjust accordingly

  6. Step 6

Now install the bottom guide and the door knobs and your job is complete

Tips & Warnings
  • For esthetics you may want to add an inside corner molding in front of the track
