We would all love to eat at Olive Garden and Red Lobster all the time, but the budget just won't stretch to eating out day after day. Here's how to find and cook meals just like your favorite restaurant serves.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • internet
  • basic cooking skills
  • desire to save money
  1. Step 1

Search the internet using the keywords "copy cat restaurant recipes." You will find a number of sites that specialize in reproducing restaurant recipes. Some of the links are listed below.

  2. Step 2

To find a particular dish from a favorite restaurant, search the internet for it with the name of the restaurant plus the name of the food. For example, put in the keywords "Applebee" + "Pizza Snacks."

  3. Step 3

If you don't find the exact recipe wanted, some sites have a request feature.

  4. Step 4

Also check the public library for books like Top Secret Restaurant Recipes: Creating Kitchen Clones from America's Favorite Restaurant Chains by Todd Wilbur or Copycat Restaurant and Bakery Recipes by Pattie Hensley.

  5. Step 5

Stock the cupboard or pantry with the basic ingredients for the family's favorite restaurant meals. Then you'll be ready the next time they want Outback Steakhouse's Toowamba Pasta or Chili's Southwestern Eggroll.
