Things You'll Need:
- Access to a phone line.
- Transportation to the event.
- A hotel reservation at the Big Seminar.
- Business cards.
- A internet connection.
- A camera.
-
Step 1
The first thing you will want to do is register for the Big Seminar Preview Calls (see resources below for link). These calls are filled with tactics and strategies that you can use immediately.
The series of these calls typically begin about six weeks before the Big Seminar event itself which is held twice a year. The calls are usually about an hour and consist of Big Seminar founder Armand Morin interviewing the speakers who will be presenting at the event. Best of all, these preview calls are free. -
Step 2
Armand has a great track record of grilling his guest on these Preview Calls. In order to get the most out of these "live" preview calls you should listen to some previous Big Seminar calls to get a flavor of how the interview process works. If you would like to hear previous interviews check out the resources below to get access to them for free.
He has interviewed Big Seminar speakers like Stephen Pierce, John Carlton, Jim Edwards, Jay Abraham, Alex Mandossian, Matt Bacak and dozens more. See the resource area to get a complete free list and access to these calls. -
Step 3
Once you are registered for the Preview Calls, it is important that you actually listen to the calls. Expect Armand to get each speaker to explain exactly what you are going to get out of their presentation.
Make sure you have plenty of paper to take lots of notes. When Armand talks with these great entrepreneurs, business and marketing gurus he gets them to "spill the beans" and you want to be ready.
It is very important to listen to these calls so that you can get the most out of the live presentation at the Big Seminar. The preview calls give you an outline of the speaker's strategies and tactics for their live presentation. -
Step 4
Register for the Big Seminar event. However, to maximize your experience while saving some money do a little research before you just fill out the registration form.
By doing so you can save hundreds of dollars and get some pretty good bonuses. A good starting point is in the resource area. -
Step 5
Register for the hotel where the Big Seminar is going to be held to get the most impact of the event. This allows you a chance to relax and regroup during the event.
-
Step 6
Plan to arrive early and stay late. Don't make the mistake of rushing in and out with your travel plans. Big Seminar is three full days. Plan accordingly.
Armand Morin's done a great job of coordinating and structuring every detail to make your experience as stress free and rewarding as possible. Take advantage of it. -
Step 7
To maximize your Big Seminar objectives create an agenda and game plan to achieve your goals. What do you want to get out of each speakers presentation? Who would you like to meet? What joint venture ideas do you have?
By asking yourself these questions ahead of time and creating a strategy will help you with your results.
Do some pre-event activities to get you started. If you have a blog start talking about Big Seminar on it. Post about Big Seminar on your Myspace, Facebook and other such places. Become "friends" with the speakers and previous attendees. See resources for ideas. -
Step 8
Get ready to network, network and network. Bring plenty of business cards or better yet, make a CD or DVD showing what you do to hand out with your cards.
The lunches are a great place to exchange ideas with other attendees. Sit with a new group each opportunity you can.
Most of the best networking opportunities occur at the hotel bar. Be there and plan on staying late. That is the place where great joint ventures and friendships are created. Everyone is looking to expand their Rolodex, take advantage of it.
Take pictures with others. Make some testimonials and get some testimonials. Ask others what they thought of the presentations.
These are the minimum things you need to do. Get creative and you will benefit even more. -
Step 9
After the Big Seminar review and follow up. This is the most important phase of making sure attending the event is worth your efforts.
While everything is still fresh in your mind spend some time thinking about how you can put what you learned into practice. Then do it! If you wait, you aren't going to get around to implementing your great ideas that you created.
Next, follow up with all of your contacts. It could be by email or phone, but do it. These people are part of your newly formed mastermind group. Stay in touch with them and re-connect when you go back to your next Big Seminar and share what's working and what's not.
