Step 1
Because scientists (both creationist and evolutionist) have found fossils and been able to reconstruct the massive beasts we call dinosaurs, it is not hard to believe that these creatures existed. But creationists believe that dinosaurs roamed the earth a few thousand years ago, while evolutionists believe it has been billions of years. What does the Bible say about dinosaurs?
-
Step 2
Ken Ham, a creation scientist, debates that evolutionists have no solid proof as to when dinosaurs roamed the earth. These scientists uncover old bones, but the bones themselves cannot tell us exactly how old the dinosaur is or how long ago it was alive. Many times when you hear scientists speak about dinosaurs they use words like "speculate," "believe," and "probably."
-
Step 3
Many evolutionists believe that dinosaurs did not live in a time when man ruled the earth. According to the Bible, God created every living creature in six days. This would mean that dinosaurs had to be in existence with humans.
-
Step 4
Job 40:15-24 mentions the behemoth, which was a large beast with a tail like a cedar tree. Evolutionists might say this was an elephant or hippo, but no elephant or hippo ever had a tail like a cedar.
-
Step 5
The word dinosaur was invented in the 1800s. Because this word was not around in Biblical times, it is easy to think that "dragons," as mentioned a few times in the New Testament, could be the same creatures.
-
Step 6
The answer as to why dinosaurs do not exist anymore also come up for debate between the two sets of scientists. Creationists believe that since the Flood, dinosaurs lost their habitats and eventually died off, not being able to find enough food to sustain them as they did before the Flood. In fact, many animals became extinct in a few short years following the Flood.
-
Step 7
Evolutionists, on the other hand, have multiple explanations for the answer to this question, and cannot seem to agree on one solid answer. Creationists do not struggle with this same dilemma, but agree on one answer.

on 10/21/2009 So, I guess Marabou is an expert on the subject. I thought God was the only one who knew. If it comes down to believing God or Marabou, guess who I'm going to side with? GOD!!!

on 3/20/2009 Science studies NATURAL forces, not supernatural ones. This is just my reaction to the last bullet point. Don't even get me started on the others. I'm an "Evolutionist" and I am not swayed. Fail.

on 3/20/2009 Just because you all agree that dinosaurs were killed by the flood doesn't mean it's right. There are so many things wrong with the global flood story. It's physically impossible and the so called 'evidence' is circumstantial. Just because you all rally around the wrong answer doesn't make it true. We don't know how the dinosaurs died, but just because we don't know we're not automatically shouting "GOD DID IT" at the top of our lungs. Disease is the current reining theory, this is because the meteorite theory didn't account for slow population decreases. Still others believe that dinosaurs survived as birds. All these theories are logical and are supported by scientists in the field from around the world. Your theory is supported by your own faith. I challenge you to find a creationist scientist. Faith in a supernatural being is not science, it is in fact the exact opposite of science
