Have you ever been typing and needed to insert a special character or font object into your type? Adobe Illustrator makes adding one of these items, called a "glyph," very simple. This guide will get you started using glyphs.

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Open Illustrator document

    How to Use Glyphs in Illustrator

  1. Step 1

    Using your text tool, type a few words onto your page.

  2. Step 2

    Open your glyphs panel by going to window/type/glyph.

  3. Step 3

    Pick the glyph you would like to insert.

  4. Step 4

    Double click on the glyph. The glyph is now a part of your document.
