Things You'll Need:
- a calendar (to figure out what season will it be when he's six months old, etc.)
-
Step 1
Baby not just any baby, he's a baby boy. He's also a person. It's easy not to look at him like he's a person because he's considerably smaller than you. Therefore, it can be tempting to dress him all cutesy. Resist the urge to buy the onesie that could double as a bear costume.
-
Step 2
Don't buy everything in blue. It's just way too typical. The gift registry probably had tons of baby blue in it, and probably lime green as well. Try fun bold colors like reds, grass colored green, gold yellow, and navy.
-
Step 3
A baby boy can never have enough hats, socks, and shoes with soft soles -- these items are easily lost. Again, don't go too doll-like with your selection. A picture of a train on a sock is fine, but dog ears on a hat is a bit ridiculous. Instead go for the baby Converse sneakers (winner!), the lambswool socks (cute and warm), or a hat that even you would wear if it were bigger.

Step 4
You're probably thinking that buying the bear ears and the slapstick onesies are incredibly cute. Guess what? Baby is already cute. Everyone else is going to get baby the goo-goo clothes. Be unique and go shopping for a baby-sized hoody or camauflage pants.
