Step 1
Get some momentum when you approach the jump. You need to move at a good clip to get some big air off the jump.
-
Step 2
Bend your elbows and knees as if you’re going to do a bunny hop when you’re about 11 yards from the BMX ramp.
-
Step 3
Pull the front wheel of your bike up when you hit the top of the ramp. Try to keep your bike level even after your bike leaves the ramp.
-
Step 4
Squat when you land to absorb some of the impact without hurting yourself.
-
Step 5
Do the trick over and over, working on getting bigger and bigger air. As you get more comfortable with the jump, work on pulling your front wheel up more and more.
-
Step 6
Make sure you keep an eye on your landing. By looking ahead, you can help keep that forward momentum. Ensure that your approach is nice and straight. You don’t want to correct yourself in the air and risk landing crookedly at the end of the jump.
