When you are dating, you are still learning a lot about your partner. Sometimes, little discoveries can lead to second thoughts about the future of the relationship. Dealing with mixed signals from the person you are dating happens in almost every relationship.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Think about the strength and length of your relationship with the person you are dating.
Step2
Decide if you can handle the mixed signals. If the mixed signals are just temporary and the relationship is good otherwise, it may be easier to deal with the mixed signals from your partner.
Step3
Step away from the relationship for a little while. Take this time to sort out your feelings about the relationship. Encourage your partner to use the time to do the same thing.
Step4
Talk to your partner about the mixed signals and your feelings. Sometimes, he may be unaware of the impact of his actions. Talking to him may be all that is necessary to correct the situation.
Step5
Make a decision with your partner about how to handle the situation. If one of you decides to end the relationship, deal with that in a way that is mutually acceptable to both of you.
Step6
Show that you respect her feelings. Once you talk about the situation, make sure that you honor any agreements to help correct the situation.
Step7
Offer your support. The mixed signals may be because of situations and influences outside of your relationship. Try to support your partner while he is dealing with these things.
