How to Reuse Empty Pill Bottles
Most pill bottles are recyclable, but not all communities can recycle them. There are many different uses for empty pill bottles, such as storing small items that would otherwise get lost easily.

Wash the pill bottles with soap and warm water. You may need to soak them in hot water to get the labels off. Look around your house for small items that would fit in the empty pill bottles that you have. The great thing about pill bottles is that they come in all different sizes.

Check your craft supplies for small items that would fit in the pill bottles. Some examples are beads, sequins and pins. You can also put single spools of thread in pill bottles to keep them from unraveling and tangling with other things.

Find small screws, washers, nails and other small tool supplies to store in pill bottles. Store them on a shelf in the tool shed. Check the fishing tackle box for items that you could organize in pill bottles, such as hooks and weights.

Inspect children's rooms for small items that need to be stored, such as fashion doll shoes and other accessories. Hair clips and barrettes fit in pill bottles, as well.

Store jewelry in pill bottles if you don't have a jewelry box. Keep individual necklaces and bracelets separate to prevent them from getting tangled and broken. When traveling, store personal-care items such as cotton swabs and bandages.

Use pill bottles to germinate seeds. When they have sprouted, it is easy to transfer them to a new location. In addition, store dry seeds to keep them from getting lost.

Fill pill bottles with loose change for phone calls, toll roads or your laundry. Use different-sized bottles for pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. You can also store rolled-up bills and hide the bottle in your glove box for emergencies.
