A variation on traditional table tennis, jungle pong is played with large groups. Play rotates among team members: after returning the ball, the player steps aside to make room for the next person on his team to step in. Unlike in traditional table tennis, players want to avoid points in this game.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Table-tennis table with no net
  • Table-tennis paddles
  • Table-tennis balls
  1. Step 1

Gather a large group of players and divide them into two teams. Ask each person to count off to determine the order of play.

  2. Step 2

Player 1 on the home team serves to player 1 on the visiting team to get the game started. The ball must hit the table twice and bounce once on the floor before it can be hit back. It can hit the table more than twice, but it can hit the floor only once.

  3. Step 3

Play continues when player 2 on the home team hits the ball back to player 2 on the visiting team and so on.

  4. Step 4

Assign points to the player who cannot hit the ball back onto the table after one bounce, or who hits the ball before it bounces on the table twice. Once a player accumulates a set number of points, typically 3, she is eliminated. The last competitor still eligible for play wins the game.
