1
Replace your Polo shirts with concert T-shirts. Choose tight fighting shirts from a wide variety of bands, especially emo and metal groups. Check MySpace to see if your favorite band is a favorite of scene girls. Buy shirts featuring bands that make the scene. Find out everything you can about scene bands including the names and personal details of all band members.
-
2
Visit the hairdresser for a new hairstyle. Ask for chopped layers of any length. Hide your new hair style in a ponytail to avoid detection by friends and family.
-
-
3
Dye your hair black, platinum or pink. Try temporary dyes for a short immersion into the scene style. Decorate your hair with bright colored stripes for a true scene look. Style your hair in mod, punk or traditional styles. Scene style is inspired by emo, goth, mod and punk fashion.
-
4
Stock up on false eyelashes, eyeliner and mascara. Make up your eyes then put on more eye make-up. Large, made-up eyes are a must for a scene girl. Be inspired by anime and mod looks for your eye makeup. Wear large sunglasses to hide your make-up until you have left your house if your parents might object to your new scene look.
-
5
Buy "Miss Kitty" and other child inspired accessories. The scene style mixes overt sexuality with wide child eyes and juvenile jewelry. Send a disturbing mixed message by presenting a sexy appearance with wide childlike eyes and a hard core attitude. Scene girls travel in packs to shows and the mall. Convince other preps to give scene style a try or find new scene friends on My Space.
-
6
Hide your scene look from coaches, parents and closed-minded preppy friends. Scene style threatens preppy culture. Keep your identity as a scene girl for shows or out-of-town malls if you want to continue your preppy lifestyle by day. Wear a show T-shirt or "Miss Kitty" accessory to subtly show your scene style. See who notices. Other scene girls may be secretly lurking among your prep crowd.

also if you hide your look it means your not confident enough to show it and if your starting off as a prep you gotta do thing slowly...and if your friends dont like your change then their not really friends now are they? -

kay soo you cant really hide your look...and if you walked around your house with big sunglasses your parents would probably think you got punched in the face or something... -

1. Scene is more inspired by generic Harajuku fashion than goth or punk or emo. 2. It's Hello Kitty, not "miss kitty".
