How to Pick Up a Girl at a Movie Theater

You never want to pass up an opportunity to pick up a girl. If you're at the movies and a girl catches your eye, you can find ways to see if the girl is interested and arrange a future date.

1. Consider the movie you're going to see. Action and horror movies are usually not the best choices to pick up girls. If they're seeing these movies, they likely have a boyfriend in tow. Instead look for single girls seeing romantic comedies or dramas.

2. Look for an opportunity to approach the girl. Obviously, you can't suddenly strike up a conversation in the middle of the movie. Wait for her to get up to hit the snack stand or go to the bathroom.

3. Think of your opening line. You need to leave a strong first impression because you probably only have a short minute before she returns to the movie. Make a funny remark about the movie or pretend like you know her from somewhere.

4. Approach her again after the movie ends. Try to expand on your conversation from earlier and see if she has any plans for after the movie. If she's hitting a club or bar, arrange to meet. Otherwise, ask for her phone number.

• Remember to keep your conversations brief while picking up a girl at the movies. You don't want to annoy her by making her miss a lot of the movie.
