Use your Razor scooter to do some cool tricks. Make sure you have a lot of safety gear on including a helmet, knee, wrist and elbow guards. Scooter tricks can be awesome if they're done right, but you can also break some bones if you land wrong.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Put your right foot near the center of the Razor scooter board with your heel hanging off at about a 45-degree angle. Place your left foot over the back wheel with about three-fourths of your foot hanging off the back of the scooter.
Step2
Start with an easy bunny hop. Bend your knees a little, then jump up in the air and pull the handles and board with you. Land balanced on both wheels.
Step3
Do a wheelie by leaning back while you're moving. Pull back hard on the Razor handle bars until you get the front wheel in the air. It helps to have momentum and speed, and you can cheat a little by adding some brake.
Step4
Turn your wheelie into a bar spin by rotating the scooter's handle bars around while your front wheel is in the air.
Step5
Do a 180-degree turn by bending your knees and getting as low as you can to the board. Jump and straighten your knees. At the same time twist your body, and pull the handles around with you. Bend your knees as you land to soften the landing.
Step6
Perform a 360-degree turn the same way, but with a lot more air and turn. Practice the 180 first and work on landing balanced on both wheels.
Step7
Fly like Superman. Get a lot of speed before doing a very big bunny hop. While in the air, push your scooter out in front of you using the handlebars and pull it back again for the landing.

Tips & Warnings

  • Get your feet in good position to do most tricks.
  • The manufacturers of Razor scooters warn that tricks can cause injuries. The recommend practicing with a lot of safety gear and avoiding steep hills. They also warn that skate parks are not designed for scooter use.
