Step 1
Try to find something interesting about the subject. There may be something in the subject matter that will really be relevant to you later in life. Try to focus on the importance of the class and do your own research on the subject at hand.
-
Step 2
Get ahead in the class if you can. Study upcoming material before each class so you will already have a good idea of what is going on and do better on assignments. The teacher will be more likely to cut you some slack or not say anything when he notices that you aren’t paying attention, if you are already getting good grades.
-
Step 3
Try to be positive. When you enter class with a grumpy attitude, you are setting the stage to be bored, angry and pessimistic before getting started, which will only make completing the work more difficult.
-
Step 4
Start a study group with other students taking the same class. Studying something you hate isn’t so boring when you are conversing and spending time with other people.
-
Step 5
Arrange for activities after class that you will look forward to during class. This will brighten your mood and the class won’t seem so bad.
-
Step 6
Remember that someday it will be over. Count down the days until the end of the term, and plan something to treat yourself for completing a class you hated.
