How to Get a Million Dollars in Gran Turismo 4 in 1 to 2 Hours

Gran Turismo 4 is a challenging and deep racing simulator for the PlayStation 2. One great aspect of Gran Turismo 4 is its huge collection of cars dating from the 1800s to the present. Unfortunately, you'll need a serious chunk of change to purchase many of these wonderful autos. Here's how you can rack up nearly $1 million in just 1 to 2 hours.

Instructions

1. Purchase your first Gran Turismo car and complete the first race in the Special Conditions Hall. This lands you the Cadillac Cien, a nifty supercar with loads of horsepower and decent handling.

2. Use your newly-acquired Cadillac Cien to beat the second race in the Special Conditions Hall. For your effort, you'll get the Toyota RSC Raid Rally Car, a fancy four-wheel drive SUV.

3. Head to your garage and sell the Toyota Rally Car in exchange for over $200,000.

4. Peruse the various showrooms for a car capable of consistently beating Dodge Vipers in a race. Used cars are a good value, but make sure whichever ride you choose can handle at least a Stage 3 Turbo Kit.

5. Load your car up with all the essential upgrades before hitting the race circuit. Turbo kits or N/A tuning are a must, but don't forget the small touches, too: Racing chips and sticky tires can make the difference in a tight race.

6. Enter the El Capitan 200 race in the Endurance Hall. Choose B-Spec mode instead of A-spec. This lets your computer drive the race for you.

7. Toggle the Race Monitor display by pressing "R1" during the race. Then, hold down "L1" and press the right button on the directional pad twice. This speeds the race up.

8. Sell the prize car you get for winning the El Capitan race. It's a MINOLTA Toyota 88-CV race car that's worth nearly $1 million.
