A 360 heel flip is a skateboard trick that sends the skateboard turning and twisting in a full circle. Before performing this trick, also known as a laser flip, master the heel flip in which the board rotates in a full circle without the twist.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Push your front forward, closer to the nose of the skateboard than you typically would when riding.

  2. Step 2

Place your back foot on the tail of the skateboard and to one side. Some boarders extend that foot partially over the tail so they can flip the board with ease. Others don't like the wide stance of this position. Put your foot as far back as you comfortably can.

  3. Step 3

Begin riding and pop up the front wheels of the board. Use your back leg to create the twisting motion. Spin the front of the skate board with your front foot so the board spins in a full circle. Do this in one controlled, fluid motion.

  4. Step 4

Land on the board, aiming for the bolts to minimize the impact, which may weaken the board or break it in half.

Tips & Warnings
  • A 360 heel flip will take time to master. It's easier to start performing off a small rise, such as a curb.
  • This is an advanced skateboard trick. Wear a helmet and protective padding to avoid serious injuries and broken bones.
