Instructions

1
Take pictures of cloud formations and use them as the models for the images you put on your walls.
-
2
Paint the walls with two coats of blue satin finish paint, using the paintbrush and roller. Choose a shade of blue that fits your concept. Let the second coat dry before proceeding to Step 3.
-
-
3
Mix 1 part white semi-gloss paint with 4 parts of glaze. Stir the mixture well to start and occasionally stir while you paint the clouds.
-
4
Determine where you are going to start to paint the clouds on the walls. Paint the first cloud about 12 inches off-center both vertically and horizontally.
-
5
Wet the small sea sponge with tap water and dip it into the white glaze. Tap it on the edge of the paint tray to remove most of the glaze. Then dab it onto the wall. Turn the sponge as you go to create different textures and thicknesses.
-
6
Dampen the cheesecloth and wad it. Press the cloth against the cloud to impart more depth. When you finish, dab some texture into random places with the sponge.
-
7
Make more large clouds on the walls. Then create medium-sized clouds followed by smaller versions. Refer to your pictures for ideas. Finish with some wispy clouds to tie them all together.
