How to Make a Cola Popsicle

Almost any liquid beverage can be frozen and made into a popsicle, but cola is one of the more popular choices. Cola popsicles can make you forget the searing sun outside even if your air conditioner isn't working. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Clear a space in your freezer large enough for your cola popsicles to sit level once they are made. Find an item to use as a stick to hold your popsicles after they're frozen. Tongue depressors or store bought popsicle sticks work for larger popsicles. Plastic spoons are another option, and toothpicks are a good choice for smaller, ice cube-sized popsicles.

    • 2

Pour your favorite cola into a plastic or disposable paper cup until it is just short of the rim. You can make smaller ice cube-sized popsicles by pouring the cola into an ice tray. You can also purchase popsicle molds at many stores and fill them with cola.

    • 3

Place the object you have chosen for a stick into the container. If using an ice tray, place one toothpick in each compartment filled with cola.

    • 4

Set the container in the freezer. Wait several hours and remove the frozen cola. If it is not frozen solid, place it back in the freezer and check again in two hours.

    • 5

Remove the frozen cola from the cup or tray by pulling gently on the stick. If the popsicle does not come out easily, run warm water over the outside of the cup for a moment. If you chose to use a paper cup, you can peel the paper cup away from the frozen treat or eat it with a spoon straight out of the cup.
