Looking clean and presentable earns you respect and makes you feel good about yourself. Whether interviewing for jobs, meeting someone new or going on a date, you want to make the best impression possible. Learn to look clean each and every time you leave your house.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Shower daily. Give your body a good scrubbing to remove all visibly dirty residue. This is especially important if you have a dirty job such as a painter or auto mechanic. Use a pumice stone to help remove the stubborn spots.

  2. Step 2

Wash your hair regularly. This keeps your hair from looking oily. Oily hair prevents you from looking clean. Keep your hair nicely combed. If your hair is long, tie it back neatly to help achieve cleaner look.

  3. Step 3

Tend to your facial hair. Shave frequently to achieve a fresh clean look. If you prefer to keep facial hair, keep it trimmed and well-shaped. You don' t want an unruly beard to prevent you from looking good.

  4. Step 4

Clean beneath your fingernails. You cannot look clean with dirty nails. Buy a manicure kit to help with the job. Remove all dirt lodged beneath your nails. Scrub around the cuticles for a complete cleaning. Apply lotion to your nails and cuticles to give them a soft, clean finish.

  5. Step 5

Put on deodorant and a small amount of cologne or perfume. Smelling bad prevents you from looking and smelling clean. Wear deodorant daily to prevent body odor. Apply a small amount of cologne to help you smell good. Take caution not to overdo the cologne. A little goes a long way.

  6. Step 6

Wear clean and pressed clothing. Wash your clothes regularly. Iron each article of clothing before you wear it. If you look messy, people assume negative things about you. Neatly pressed clothes help you look more clean and put together.
