How to Get Rid of a Rash From Nair

Some people with sensitive skin may develop a rash after using a chemically based hair removal product like Nair. You can eliminate the rash and reclaim your skin's beauty and health with some quick first aid.

Instructions

1. Test a small area and wait 24 hours to see if a rash occurs. If a rash does develop, you'll only have to deal with a rash in a small area instead of a large one.

2. Rinse the product off immediately if you start to feel an intense burning. Apply cool washcloths to help soothe the affected areas.

3. Apply hydrocortisone cream to the worst areas of the rash for a few days. This should help clear up the rash and prevent infection.

4. Treat ingrown hairs caused by the rash by soaking in a hot bathtub and gently exfoliating the affected skin. This will open the pores of the skin and release the ingrown hair. It's best not to squeeze an ingrown hair, as this can introduce bacteria to the pore and cause infection.

5. Discontinue using the product if you develop a rash. You could try another brand, but since they all have similar ingredients, the chance that you'll have a reaction to another brand is high.
