Analyze your actions. Perhaps it is not really the other person who is wrong. Examine how you interact with others to see if you are acting childish or immature.
-

Initiate dialogue. Ask this person why he treats you like a child. If the person becomes defensive, postpone the talk until later. You won't learn anything until the person is ready to speak.

Notice how this person treats others. Determine if you are the only one she treats this way. If so, examine your relationship with her to discover if you're giving her permission to behave this way. Call her on it whenever she starts acting parental. However, if this is how she behaves with others, then this is who she is.

Stay calm and do not take these actions personally. Most of the time the actions of others are not about you, but about how they view life and people in general. Anger or confrontation will most likely lead to more problems.

5
Confront the person. Forget subtle hints, people like this won't notice them. If the behavior becomes unbearable, prove that your an adult by telling the person to cease. If they don't, stop seeing them or accept that you'll have to tolerate this behavior whenever you do.
