How to Create an Article at Uncyclopedia

Uncyclopedia is a content-free site that anyone can contribute to. The site thrives on humor and irreverent satire. The articles on Uncyclopedia aren’t meant to entertain rather than be taken seriously. However, the site administrators do stress that the content should be “funny, not stupid.” Free account holders can edit existing articles or write new ones.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

1. Read the beginner's guide for helpful tips to make your comical entry successful. Confirm the title you wish to write doesn't already exist in Uncyclopedia by typing it into the Search box. If there is an exact match or the same subject under a different title, you cannot write about it. If there are no matches, begin to create your article.
2. Click on “Create This Page" towards the top of the search results. This takes you to the free editing page.
3. Write your article in the Text box, sticking to the loose style standards in the beginner’s guide.
4. Summarize your article in the Summary box towards the bottom of the page. This summary is the statement that draws readers in so make it good.
5. Proofread your article by choosing “Preview.” Make any changes on the preview screen.
6. Publish your article immediately on Uncyclopedia by clicking "Save" underneath the Text box.

Tips & Warnings

• Remember, anyone can edit your Uncyclopedia article. Don't be surprised when someone makes changes to your work.
• Incomplete and nonsensical articles may be deleted by the administrators at Uncyclopedia. If you leave your article incomplete, but plan on returning to complete it later, typing {{construction}} in the body of the article will prevent deletion.
