During the Christmas holidays, you can decorate your computer by creating a snowflake screensaver to keep your spirits high even when you are working. Snowflake screensavers are so popular that you can even download a version if you don’t have the time to make one.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to Windows Explorer and create a new folder. Right-click on "My Documents" or the "C Drive." Select “New” and then “Folder." Name it something simple like “Christmas."

  2. Step 2

Copy the pictures you want to use into the folder. Right-click on an image and select “Copy." Right-click on the folder “Christmas” and select “Paste.” Repeat, until you have all the pictures copied into the folder.

  3. Step 3

Open your Control Panel. You can find this on your Start menu or your desktop.

  4. Step 4

Click on “Personalization” and then “Screen Saver.” You can also select this by right-clicking on your desktop, selecting “Personalize” and then “Screen Saver.”

  5. Step 5

Select from the drop-down box the folder “Photos” and then select “Settings.” On the next screen, select “Browse” and then select “Christmas.” Click on “Save.”

  6. Step 6

Choose “Preview” and your snowflake screensaver will start. Select the amount of time the computer should be idle before it activates.

  7. Step 7

Download Christmas Scenes Screen Saver (see Resources below) and add your own music or pictures to it.
