You may feel overwhelmed with everything that you need to pack into a school day. You have to deal with teachers, tests, and homework and still make time for friends. To help you manage all of this, you can make your own school survival guide.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Purchase a blank binder or notebook. You may want to use a binder since it's easier to keep papers inside.

  2. Step 2

Post your class schedule on the front cover of your school survival guide. On the next page, print your extracurricular schedule. Use these schedules to organize the rest of your day.

  3. Step 3

Put together a tips section. Collect information about dealing with rumors in school, school dating and handling difficult teachers. Go to the School Survival website (see Resources below) and print out their tip sheets. Helpful guides include "Disobey and Resist" and "Exams."

  4. Step 4

Compile a notes section. As you or your friends learn how to survive things at school, make a note of it. You can use these notes to help you down the line. Samples could include how to fend off a bully or what to do if you get caught cheating.

  5. Step 5

Make a comic relief section in your survival guide. School is stressful and you need to unwind at some point in the day. Include some funny comics or quotes at the back of your survival guide.

Tips & Warnings
  • For inspiration, you may want to watch the Nickelodeon show "Ned's Declassified School Survival Show." On the show, Ned navigates the challenges found at his school.
