How to Persuade Parents to Buy Fast Food

Most fast food places offer healthy alternatives to their typical fare. However, there are times when you might want to indulge your desire for that greasy burger or the pizza laden with pepperoni and other fatty treats. If your parents are sticklers for healthy eating, you may have to negotiate to satisfy your craving.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Point out the nutritional benfits offast food. Almost every fast food restaurant has some healthy options on the menu. However, if you want the unhealthy items then this tactic can backfire, since your parents will want you to order the items you are using for your argument.
Step2
Demonstrate that the fast food option is cheaper than the healthy alternative. Fast food typically is cheaper than a full nutritious meal.
Step3
Offer to pay for the meal. Now this will work in two areas, it will show your parents that you are responsible and it will take the cost out of the equation. Don't bluff if you don't have the money.
Step4
Make them an offer they can't refuse. Negotiation works only if the outcome benefits both parties. So offer to clean the gutters or mow the lawn if you can indulge in some fast food. Understand that is a risky tactic because the parents can say that these things are your jobs and not negotiable.
Step5
Promise that it's a rare treat. Even the strictest nutrionists will tell you that the occasional bacon cheeseburger slathered in sauce won't kill you. Find some support for this contention on the Internet and show it to your parents.
