Instructions
-
-
1
Find software such as Microsoft Power Point or another slide show program to use on your personal computer.
-
2
Start a new template or file. Make the first slide a title page with important information about the specific flashcard project. Include the subject, test name and date of the test to identify the flashcard set.
-
-
3
Add as many slides as you have information for flashcards. Put slides in groups when studying different chapters or information for the same test.
-
4
Make slides in sets of two for specific questions with answers like math, vocabulary or other tests. The first slide should have the question (5 + 5), and the second slide gives the answer (10).
-
5
Put graphics, clip art or any other pictures on the slides, especially if they're helpful tools for memorizing information.
-
6
Play the slide show to review each flashcard as it displays. As you get better at the information, speed the slide switch timing. Answer each question before the answer appears.
-
7
Consider using a web-based digital flashcard site like Study Stack, which allows you to make your own flashcards. Print or download cards to your computer, PDA or other mobile device for studying on the go (see Resources below).
-
8
Share digital flashcard information with classmates. Ask your friends to make flashcards for a separate chapter, and then compile all your flashcard files into one.
