Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Keep your diary in a safe place such as the bottom of your underwear drawer. If you open this drawer and find the contents moved, people may have read your diary.
Step2
Use a diary that comes with a lock and key and keep it locked or hide the diary in a locking desk drawer. If the lock is broken or tampered with, someone probably read your diary.
Step3
Confront the people you think read your diary. Ask them questions about the entries. If they know the answers, they must have read your diary.
Step4
Make up something to enter into your diary. This should be something that could have happened but did not. For example, if you think your roommate is reading your diary, make up that you went out with her boyfriend. See how she responds to you or if she confronts you.
Step5
Compile a false diary. This will take a little time but backdate the entries and put false information in it. Make sure there is just enough truth to be believable.
Step6
Leave the false diary out in the open when the people are around whom you think read your diary. Make up a reason to leave in a hurry and announce this reason as you run out the door.
Step7
Sneak back in and catch the person reading your diary.
