One of the unique features of small scooters are their back-wheel brakes. This is a great safety feature to have, but it also allows you to perform many tricks by stalling the scooter on an object. The Pogo Stall is a good example of these tricks. You'll need good balance and a sure foot to pull it off, but with practice you'll be able to stall your scooter on almost anything.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find a clear patch of pavement or cul-de-sac to ride on. Areas free of traffic and rowdy children are best.

  2. Step 2

Practice stalling the scooter on its back wheel. To do this, press the wheel brake with your back foot and pull back on the handlebars. The front wheel should rise about a foot or two above the ground.

  3. Step 3

Locate an elevated object such as a curb, table or bench. Lower objects are best if you're a beginning rider.

  4. Step 4

Bunny hop onto the object and perform a stall. Be sure to land on your back wheel with the brake engaged to avoid slipping off the object.

  5. Step 5

Hop up and down on your rear leg, rotating both your body and the scooter a little with each jump. Keep hopping until you're facing in the opposite direction of your initial bunny hop trick.

  6. Step 6

Drop down from the object and carefully ride away. Plant both feet firmly on the scooter's deck when you land to lower your risk of wiping out.
