Most businesses provide vending machines for their employees for the times when the cafeteria is closed or they just need to get something fast for their break. You can get such items as candy bars, sodas, coffee, pretzels and potato chips as well as sandwiches and ice cream, depending on what your employer has decided to provide.

2. Look for vending machines when you are shopping. Rather than taking your children to a fast food restaurant, you may be able to appease them with a quick snack from a vending machine without ruining their appetite for lunch or dinner. Search for the best snacks possible in the vending machine.

3. Check out the rest rooms in the public places you are visiting for personal supplies that you may need in an emergency. Tampons and sanitary napkins are usually in vending machines in the ladies' rooms and you can also find towelettes to clean your hands. Forgot to bring along diapers and wipes for your baby because you didn't think you would need them--check the ladies room, you may find a vending machine that provides them there.

4. Find vending machines for your miscellaneous needs such as cigarettes and newspapers. You can also find vending machines for things you forgot to pack for your vacation such as toothbrushes or toothpaste. No matter what you are looking for, it may be more convenient to buy the product from a vending machine than going into the store.
