When you are ready to print a PDF in Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional, you can use the “Print” dialog box to set some very basic printing options for your document. You can use these options to specify the printer you want to use, the print range and number of copies.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional
  • Printer

Step1
Start Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and open a PDF that you would like to print. Choose the “File” menu and click “Print” to open the “Print” dialog box.
Step2
Select the printer you would like to use to print the PDF by selecting it from the “Name” dropdown list.
Step3
Choose if you would like to print “All,” “Selected pages,” “Current page” or another page range or subset in the “Print Range” section of the dialog box.
Step4
Type the number of copies you would like to print in the “Copies” text box of the “Page Handling” section. Here you can also choose a scaling option from the “Page Scaling” drop down list or add check marks to “Auto-Rotate and Center” or “Choose Paper Source by PDF page size” to your PDF.
Step5
Click to add a check mark so you can “Print to file” or “Print color as black” at the bottom of the “Print” dialog box.
Step6
Use the “Preview” on the right side of the “Print” dialog box to preview your PDF before printing it. You can use the slider just below the preview to zoom in and out of the document.
Step7
Finish the process by clicking on the “OK” button to close the “Print” dialog box and print your PDF document.
