How to Work in a School Library After School

Extra curriculur activities are an important part of high school. Most students decide to go out for sports, participate in chorus or school plays or get involved in school politics, like student government. Other students want to get involved in things that will prepare them for tomorrow, such as debate or working in the school library. Everything you do can prepare you for the world, so decide what's best for you.

        See your advisor and see if there are openings in the school library. If there are, talk to the school librarian and see if she can use you after school.

        Update the online card catalog. Librarians have many jobs and are sometimes too busy to update the card catalog when new books come in; therefore, this is a job that can fall to students working in the school library.
